FEU Diliman’s College of Accounts and Business (CAB) recently held its 3rd Business Innovation Week, a flagship academic event that champions innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, and research-driven problem solving. Anchored on key UN Sustainable Development Goals—including quality education, economic growth, sustainable communities, and global partnerships—the week highlighted how business education can meaningfully shape society.

This year’s program brought together industry experts, community leaders, and innovators, including Mr. Dennis Layug (EastWest International); Dean Jelwin Bautista (Wesleyan University); CAB alumni Kristian Remigio and John Patrick Balbuena; Guest Speaker Engr. Jon Ervir P. Cabiling; Ms. Maribel Cruz of Barangay Holy Spirit; and representatives from government, private organizations, and local enterprises.

Designed to strengthen academe–industry–community collaboration, the week provided hands-on avenues for students to translate business concepts into real-world solutions through technology-enabled and research-informed initiatives.

Day 1 focused on innovation and capacity-building workshops, MSME advertising projects, feasibility study presentations, and financial literacy and tech seminars. Day 2 began with roundtable discussions with leaders, then the Quiz Bee competition, followed by the Mr., Ms., & Mx. CAB Ambassador Search. Meanwhile, the CAB Business Clinic took center stage on Day 3, offering free consultations on taxation, operations, marketing, and finance, especially for start-ups and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Guided by the theme “The Spirit of Entrepreneurial Innovation,” CAB Week 2025 strengthened student competencies, expanded external partnerships, and reinforced the college’s commitment to sustainability and community development. These efforts continue year-round through the Pioneer Business Clinic, ongoing faculty-student research, and long-term community collaborations.
